Lake Erie is in the midst of playing three games in as many nights over the weekend. The Monsters are coming off a big 7-4 win in Rockford last night. After tonight's matchup in Peoria, they will finish up in Grand Rapids tomorrow.

The Monsters and Rivermen met twice earlier this season, a back-to-back in Cleveland in December. Peoria won both games. Mike Wall was in goal for both contests. Johnny Boychuk posted two goals in the series, while Brent Kelly also has two points against the Rivermen (1G, 1A).

Tough loss, they just couldn't score.

yeah - it's not as if they had NO offense, but the shooting accuracy was pretty weak. schwarz is a great goalie, but hitting him square in the chest with the puck is hardly a brilliant save that made him have to work for it. they had a few breaks and couldn't capitalize on them.

it was a nice surprise to see love score one. he's hardly a lidstrom type defenseman (unlike boychuck or vernace).
