The Monsters and Griffins are familiar foes, having already met seven times this season. Lake Erie is 2-5 against Grand Rapids. The teams most recently met this past weekend, when the Monsters fell in Michigan, 6-4, on March 2nd.

Grand Rapids is just ahead of Lake Erie in the North Division standings. The Griffins are in fifth place, eight points ahead of the sixth-place Monsters.

The Monsters enter tonight's game off a loss at home to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last night. With his two goals against the Penguins, Chris Stewart now has 18 on the season, which leads the team.

They're actually going to play this game?

I just called the ticket office and they are offering vouchers for those that can't make the game because of the weather. They said that they have to play the game because Grand Rapids was able to travel and fit the game in as normally scheduled.

buncha heartache since it happens on a weekend and a giveaway night. bummer!!

What a great game, I wish the stupid weather wouldn't have ruined it for me. At least it was on FSN.

amazing third period. one of the best periods i've seen them play.

Kudos to the brave souls who made it down there. Nice to get a little help from the refs this time around too.

some of the attendees were out of towners who came in for the cavs game and got stuck, so they got hotel rooms and stayed for the hockey.

did anyone notice the girls behind the monsters bench with the hilarious and sexually suggestive signs? FSN had them on the screen a couple times.

yea i noticed them. that was funny.. did u also see jim peak when he had that outburst.. i've never seen him that mad before.. it was kind of a shock to me lol

i've seen those chicks out with members of the team a few times...pretty sk anky from what i've seen...



that being said, helluva 3rd period! I loved watching Lundmark jawing across the penalty box!

shaky start to the game, got a little upset so i turned the game off then to my suprise when i turned it back on they we're tied, then they we're in the lead, so we decided to watch the rest and they won. the third was by far their best period, obviously they won, now if this team can just start playing from ahead instead of trying to come back and win. good win, they needed it, now if they can get some road wins out of this current road trip, we might have a chance to move up to fifth, there's no way we can make the playoffs now but there's alwyas next year!

GO JILLSON FOR SCORING AND JIM PAEK. I LOVE HIM HA. HE WAS MY FAVORITE LUMBERJACK PLAYER. I WONDER WHAT THE REST OF THEM DOING. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT DEREK WILKENSON OR JEFF CHRISTIANSON IS DOING RIGHT NOW?
