Who is the best goaltender on this team. Jason Bacashihua is the MAN. Was that an incredible display of goaltending? Jillson left Englehardt infront 3 times and left him unguarded yet CASH still was able to stop all of those shots that didn't get through. There is a problem when a rebound comes off the boards and we have 3 players who are back get out hustled. Cash is the man, his 10 losses 8 were by 1 goal or OT losses, there is no argument for another goalie here, I think Tyler is GREAT, but not even close to CASH. I think he had 3 saves while standing on his head. PLUS, that save total isn't even close to being right. The shot board said 49 with 2 more rushes by Hamilton and both having 2 shots each. 4 stops in the Shoot out, that's 58 shots and 53 saves in my book...

I think Cash is the best, when he plays hard like he did Friday. I think the coaching probably doesn't see him as being consistent enough though. But in his defense, I think all of our goal tenders suffer from this problem. Until we get a realistic defense setup, I don't think any goal tender can really be confident in what kind of game they'll be playing out there. The other thing is that the coaching probably doesn't want to over-work Cash due to his injury bout. They are taking it easy on him so he's able to compete consistently next year. That's my take on it anyway. But when he's on-top of his game, he's amazing.
i think all 3 goalies we have are good, not great. each of our goaltenders has games where everything is going great and games that go terribly wrong (which would lead to consistency) now i was happy to see cash in goal on friday and did a helluva job in the shootout. to say one is the better of the other is wrong. when we give up on average 40-50 shots a game, sooner or later pucks are going to find the back of the net and we do that with each of our goaltenders, so cash is good, weimann is good and even wall has his moments, it just comes down to consistency. cash has been hurt, weimann spent some time in colorado and also has been injured and we had to rely on wall for most of the season. so we have 3 good (not solid) goaltenders. i think next season will be a better time to actually pick the best goaltender.
Hanson, That display Friday night would not have been turned in by Weiman or Wall. The defense was TERRIBLE, the worst it has been all year. 4 goals was like seeing a shut out.

but they didnt quit and actually got it back to being a game and yes the defense was terrible but it has been all year long. i think the score wouldve reflected what it was if either wall, weimann or cash was in goal. we'll see who starts in goal tonight against the red hot crunch and see what the outcome is. we need to come out of the gate hard, playing physical and not giving them an inch.
