So I take my family to the game Friday, 14000 fans , they hand out only 5000 hats, I wait 20 minutes for a drawing and he leaves when my son is next 100 people deep for a frickin hot dog, missed entire 2nd period getting a hot dog, hot dogs are terrible the team is terrible and I call to complain and nothing. What a joke this organization is by turning off 14000 fans
Lets be real here. It has been widely advertised as FIRST 5000 fans get hats. I am sorry if you were 5001. DOllar dog night is pretty popular..especially with 14000 others there. I am sure you were waiting just like the rest of us.. I wont debate the quality of hot dogs, the ones I had weren't the best I have ever had, but for a $1.. filled a void!
real is taking care of your fan base, having 4 concession stands open for 14000 people is not real, the Cav's would've had them all open for that crowd, maybe you should give out a few more hats and keep your fans happy considering this is a minor league organization
They told folks there would only be 5,000 hats and to get there early. You could get a better hotdog (Albeit for more money) at a different station that didn't have the lines. But I do agree the lines were really long that day. With all the people they have standing behind the counters you'd think they could dish out this stuff faster.
I was there at 5:30. Got hats for all my kids going in.. I waited about 10 minutes at startof 3rd period for dogs.. I was in the club section. I wish we had this problem at every game to be honest!
i had $26 seat vouchers, but ended up in the $10 seats (got there at 6:30 and the club seats were sold out). they ran out of hats where I came in, so I went to the second floor where people come in from the garage -- tons of hats available there.
i'm surprised every friday at the fact people eat hot dogs, let alone in that abundance. armark concessions aren't great in the first place service-wise, but hot dogs?
I'm still not sure why 14k showed up (free hats, junior hockey recognition, cheap hotdogs?), but aramark sure did not seem ready.

thats the point I'm making I came in through the garage nothing, you had $26.00 seats and you were seated next to the curtains that they didn't take down and you were probably sweating it was so hot up there, I was in section 109 center ice so I was able to try to get dogs quickly but forget it, again when I called you think they would've said how about we send you out something anything, while in my 20 minute line a couple from Toledo were also p o'ed about the whole thing 2, and if you want people to attend take care of them somehow someway, as a whole it was the worst event I have ever attended at the "Q" or Gund
there were a butt load of people at the game that day. the reason was because of all the youth hockey organizations. we sat next to the barrie squad that came down from canada, let me tell you class act, they did not get up at all they watched the game instead of talking like it was social hour and even though toronto killed us they did not in any way smirk the monsters and as for the hats they were advertising on the jumbotron that the first 5,000 fans will receive a hat per previous games. i missed the hats but i'm not crying about and as for the hot dogs, they are cheap so you're not goin to get the best hot dog, i ate them once ONCE! i dont eat at the q because #1 to expensive, #2 dont have anything that is relatively healthy and i just dont like to eat there. sorry you had a bad experience but dont blame the organization, blame the lame *** q staff they are the ones to blame, the monsters organization do not control the staff @ the q.
They also had a Spokesmonsters party and NAPA had a group there also.. Alot of stuff crammed into one night. I dont now why they didnt have the Parade of Champions this Friday April 4th, since it is also youth hockey night. Would have made more sense...
Ned... The seats to our right are NEVER USED. They are season ticket holders so if that ever happens again, JUST COME DOWN, there's always something available around us.
THUNDEROUS, SORRY, that happens, you are complaining but how much did you spend for your center ice seats? Did you invest in this team from JUMP? Did you put up your hard earned money to ensure others had the chance to see the Monsters all year long and at vouchered seats? If you kid didn't get a hat, PM me, I got one and REALLY DON'T CARE... It is cheap and has a DONATOS logo on it. Lame hat but didn't buy my season tix for the hat.
THe Q is owned by DAN GILBERT. GILBERT owns the CAVS AND MONSTERS, They lease the food out. Aramark is probably gone just as soon as GILBERT can get out of that contract. So, the food may not come down a whole lot in price, but it will be better..

THe Q is owned by DAN GILBERT. GILBERT owns the CAVS AND MONSTERS, They lease the food out. Aramark is probably gone just as soon as GILBERT can get out of that contract. So, the food may not come down a whole lot in price, but it will be better..
Actually the Q arena is owned by the taxpayers of cuyahoga county and Dan has a long term lease on it.

This Friday's game will probably have a similar crowd. With Josh Cribbs signing autographs, there will be a bunch of people there early to see him. Expect similar lines for hotdogs and the same frustrations as last time.

FYI- The Lake Erie Monsters are not the cavs and that wasnt a cavs game so they arent going to open all the stand cause the cavs do it. minor league doesnt get alot of attention un like major leagues.... not too mentions its thier first year so they dont have numbers to compare to see if like how last years hot dog day went in compare how it could go today. hot dog days became alot more popular towards the end of the season, about 95% of the crowd on fridays come for just that reason...hot dogs. yea the hotdogs might not be nathans or what not...but dude its a $1 they arent going to out thier best top notch hot dogs on sale for a dollar. would you put prime steak on sale for a $1? nope. be happy they were a dollar...thier hot hotdogs for one is like $3.50 also if you looked on the schedule or promotional ads they said the first 5000. which is a pretty standard crowd for minor league hockey. and everyone knows you go early to giveaway nights so you can get a giveaway. so the front office isnt a joke or anything. they did pretty darn good for a first year. you must have been just going through pms or had bad day when you went to the game. its not the organization that is bad.

this organiztion is a joke, i renewed my season tickets for the 2008-2009 season during their early bird special and i asked my rep. for 4 tickets and to be moved into the club level, okay right, well i got an e-mail stating that my new tickets were only a row down from the ones that i originaly had for the inaugural season and for two seats, not the 4 that i had originally asked for. so sent another e-mail asking to switch to the club level and for 4 tickets, he sends me another e-mail with the new location and 4 seats. at this point i'm a happy camper againl, but wait, theres more i recently got my invoice with the payment plan and it shows the wrong section, right row and for only two tickets, i was just about to send the invoice in until i realized that there was a BIG problem. now i have to wait until monday to get this s**t straightened out and hopefully will have enough time to get the payment in before the deadline. GO MONSTERS!!!!! way to take care of you're season ticket holders.

i'm pretty sure its just a mistake but i just had to get it out of my system, and that is what these forums are for anyway to post you're opinion, some people wont agree and that is fine but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i was just a little ticked off and i usually shoot my mouth off when i'm p***ed off. i just hope that the mistake on my invoice will get taken care of.
