The Monsters and Crunch are starting a home-and-home tonight, first playing in Syracuse, then coming to Cleveland for another meeting on Tuesday.

Lake Erie is 1-2 against the Crunch so far this season. Their October 20th win in Syracuse was the frachise's first-ever victory. The two losses both came in Cleveland, on December 2nd and 12th.

Syracuse comes into Saturday's game straight off a loss last night in Binghamton. The Monsters have had a week off since their last game, a 6-4 loss in Hershey on January 12th.

A shoot out win. With goals from unlikely sources, too.

Congratulations to Mitch Love on his first of the season. That small center ice area must have helped with the short handed.

First I want to say, BIG CONGRADS to the monsters. Way to go. Awesome job mitch and congrads on your first goal of the season and way to go Chris for scoring the winning point. Did not waste anytime now did you, :43 seconds into the game in OT, you go!

However, I was a bit surprised it took you guys so long. You guys did have the fresher legs having been off almost entire week. You should have pounded the crunch from the 1st period. I love you guys but you have to stick to your opposition in the 1st, cause the comebacks are killing me....
