So T.J. will be skating in Cleveland again and Forsberg decided to return right under the trade deadline to help the avs in the postseason. i guess it's almost time to start growing a playoff beard. with hensick back on staff, maybe the monsters can fill the deficit and get into contention? we'll see.

I wonder if David Jones will be back soon too. Once all of the injuries clear up i would expect him to skate in Cleveland too.

columbus looks like a team dumping salary to rebuild. i wouldn't be surprised if in june they start signing free agents. i was shocked they dumped federov for a rookie, but i guess they felt they could get something for him now and probably not much after the post-season. his best games were 10-15 years ago, but he's still a very solid player.

federov wasnt doing anything with the blue jackets, he was always hurt or something else was wrong. he's towards the end of his career, i think at least. the big shocker was seeing the capatin adam foote leave and go back to where he started.
i feel bad for the kid they traded for federov, this kid is still in college and his rights are getting tossed around and this kid hasnt played one game in the nhl.
yeah the blue jackets are thinking long term but right now they need a spark for this year, not 4-5 years down the road.

I dont know if Hensick will be down here for long, especially now that Smyth is out for the season. He should get the call up, he has been consistent in Colorado. Im sure he can play wing, rather then center up there too. But we shall see, I wouldnt mind if TJ does stay down with LEM, he does have a lot of talent.
