As of right now, that looks like a very tough schedule. Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Dallas, even Denver and Washington on the road can be tough. Oh boy.

Ya that schedual is a BEAST!!!! 7 playoff teams and a few teams like the Eagles and Bills that are just tough wins! Guess what we got a team now though and we can show them how C-town rolls.

my preliminary thoughts on the free agents.

QB Derek Anderson RFA- I say sign him to a reasonable 4 year deal. Why? well it looks better for teams to try and trade for him. If ur a team would u rather get a guy locked up for 1 year or 4?

RB Jamal Lewis UFA- Get him a 2-3 year extension and go after Turner in free agency.

OL Seth McKinney UFA- let him go

OL Nat Dorsey UFA- let him go

OL Lennie Friedman UFA- 1 year deal

DL Simon Fraser RFA- let him go

DL Ethan Kelly UFA- 1 year deal

LB Mason Unck UFA- I would try and sign him. He missed this season, but in the past he has been great on special teams.

Again this is preliminary until the season ends and free agency begins, but here are some wide receivers I would like to see us go after.

Bryant Johnson
Drew Carter
Justin Gage
Bernard Berrian
Patrick Crayton

I would love to see us get one of these players.

Those all our Wide-ots I'd love us to get as well. But I think the Cowboys extended Crayton's offer. Correct me if I'm wrong...

I think we really need to get a reliable 2nd-option at Wide Receiver. Braylon has been fantastic and K2 has become one of the better Tight-Ends in the league.

With a solid 2nd WR, our pass offense will become even more of a threat.

I think Berrian is probably the best fit to go alongside Braylon and JJ.

My free agent targets are Albert Haynesworth and Terrell Suggs.

We have the most money to spend, so we might as well target the biggest names.

We have a fine #2 option in Joe. Not to say I'm opposed to getting another young, offensive weapon, but we have bigger issues on defense.

I'd love to see Haynesworth or Terrell Suggs (dare I say both) come here. Either helps solidify the line. If I had to pick one, I'd take Haynesworth.

And what about a running back? I think we can keep Mal maybe two more years, but this year's FA crop is very hard to resist. Fargas, Julius Jones, BURNER Turner?

Remember guys, Fred Taylor made his first Pro Bowl this year at age 31!! Eeker

Jamal is only 28 and has had considerably less carries and injuries than Fred. I think he has a good 4 years left in him.

Combine his tough running with a change-of-pace in Jerome Harrison and I don't think we really need a RB in free agency. I think Berrian would be a great fit here (think he wants a real QB after all these years? Big Grin) as a slot receiver who is a deep threat. Aside from Edwards, we really don't have any true deep threats at WR.

Don't forget Travis Wilson though, he'll get a chance next year with Carter gone.

Hopefully...(and realistically)

We sign
Bryant Johnson
Floyd Womack (RG)
Hayneworth, if not, Tommy Kelley
Karlos Dansby
Domonique Foxworth

There are bigger names out there, but this list is probably more realistic.

WOW.

It seems so hard to imagine, that with all he's already accomplished, he's so young.

Really like IBCB's list, Foxworth is cool. He's athletic, makes a lot of tackles for a cornerback.

Cannot wait

Yeah games against the Eagles and Giants won't be easy either. We will find out what this team is made of next year for sure.

Our Draft Picks:

1st round: No picks (#22 traded to DAL for Brady Quinn)
2nd round: Pick #53
3rd round: Pick #84
4th round: Pick #118
5th round: No picks (#149 traded to PHI for Hank Fraley)
6th round: Pick #179 and Pick #185 (from SEA for Charlie Frye)

Add those 6 picks to possibly 2 more for DA and we are really cooking to build for the future.

Some new additions completing our list of free agents:

WR Tim Carter UFA
DL Ted Washington UFA
LB Chaun Thompson UFA
CB Daven Holly RFA
DB Gary Baxter UFA

Also some old news on the contracts of LeCharles Bentley and Gary Baxter:

The Browns have shortened center LeCharles Bentley's contract by three years and he can now become an unrestricted free agent after the 2008 season, according to NFL Players Association records.

The restructured deal will pay Bentley the NFL minimum for his position ($605,000) next season, but includes incentives that can earn him the $4 million he was due to make in base salary and roster bonus.

The new deal protects the Browns from having to pay Bentley $4 million in the event he can't play, yet it allows him to make up the money if he's healthy.

The Browns made a similar move this season with safety Gary Baxter, who suffered two torn patella tendons in 2006. Baxter had a six-year deal through 2010, but his contract will now be up after this season. He also accepted a pay cut from $3.5 million to $1.5 million in 2007.

Also, Joe Jurevicius will probably retire after next year even though there are two left on his contract.

"Jurevicius said he'll likely play one more year before retiring as a Brown.

"I'm going to give this thing one go-around and probably hang them up," he said."
