Thank you for joining our community. In order to keep the forums a fun and safe place, there are certain terms of use and guidelines in place. Please familiarize yourself with these as we will hold you accountable for what you post!

Important Guidelines to Follow

1. Read Before You Post - Don't Duplicate!
Have something to say? That's great! Your first instinct might be to start a new topic...but WAIT! What if someone posted the same thing already? Take a quick scan through the topics already started and if it exists, add to that post. Do not start a new one. Please note there are different forums (Team Talk, Around the NBA, Off Topic) and your post might belong in a different one.



2. Don't Flame
Flaming is the act of sending or posting messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting, usually in the social context of a discussion board on the Internet. As a general rule, if you would not say something to a complete stranger face to face, don't say it here on the boards. Be polite!



3. Don't Troll
In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community such as an online discussion forum to bait users into responding. They may also plant images and data on networks that others may find disturbing in order to cause confrontation. Don't be a troll. Don't encourage the trolls. Report them!



4. No Shameless Self Promoting
The purpose of this board is to allow fans to discuss the Cavaliers and other various topics. Not to promote your new forum, website, ebay item, product, or garage sale. Get the picture?



5. No Inappropriate content
This is a family-friendly site where all sorts of walks of life will be reading and or interacting on the board. Please keep it clean. No innapropriate content or cursing. There are filters on the boards that will replace most curse words with asterisks. If you try and get around the filter system, you will be warned and/or banned.



6. Banning / Warning Procedure
If we feel you've violated the terms of use, we will issue you a warning via private message. THIS IS YOUR ONE AND ONLY WARNING. Next time you violate the terms of use, your account will be banned permanently. However, if your first violation is severe enough, we reserve the right to ban you immediately without warning.



7. Reporting a Post
As you can imagine, even with a team of moderators, we can't be on the boards at every hour and we cannot review every single post. We rely on the help of our fellow members (that's you!) to report posts that are innapropriate. To do so, click on the yellow triangle icon with the exclamation point. You can then send a message explaining why you are reporting this post and the admins of the board will be notified via email so they can review and respond accordingly.



8. Karma
Forum members can earn "karma" points and custom titles based on the number of posts they make. Please DO NOT make useless posts simply to pad your post count. Doing this will result in warning or banning if it persists. The karma scale is as follows.
1 Rookie 0
2 Sophomore 300
3 Veteran 1500
4 Star 3000
5 Superstar 5000
6 Hall of Famer 7000



9. Signatures

Please take a moment to review your signature to make sure it falls within our guidelines.

Entire Signature Size: Should be no wider than 575 pixels wide and no taller than 150 pixels tall.

Entire Signature File Size: Should be less than 75 Kilobytes. To find out how large an image is, right click on it and it will show the file size. It should not exceed 76800 bytes.



We put both a file size and width and height size limit on them to accomplish two things:

1. To limit vertical scrolling. Do you ever get frustrated when someone has a picture in their sig that is as tall as the page and you have to scroll for what seems forever to read the next post?

2. To keep the page load time down to a minimum. For anyone on a slower connection, the page will not completely load until all images on the page have completely downloaded. With some images being over 1 megabyte, this could be a very long wait!

If your signature is in violation, please fix it now. If we notice it is too big, we reserve the right to remove it without notice and or remove signature posting privileges if any member becomes a repeat offender.
