The day has finally arrived!
We'd like to officially invite you to come over to CavFanatic, the Cavaliers Social Network.
Before you do, we feel it is important that you know a few things...
1. The site is still in Beta, meaning that we are still testing and there are many glitches or errors that you may encounter. Rather than waiting until it is perfect, we wanted to invite you in now so you can take advantage of the cool new features such as blogs, videos, photos, etc during this exciting time as the Cavaliers are in the playoffs. So please excuse our dust while work continues on this new site.
2. You will notice a difference in the features available in the forums compared to what you are used to here. The forums will be dramatically improved over the summer and coming months, so many of the things you are used to enjoying on the existing forums will evenutally be put in place. In the meantime, we will keep the existing Cavs forums up and running as normal.
3. What are lifetime points and what can you do with them? A great question. For all members that use the link below to sign up, it should import portions of your existing account into CavFanatic. It will take your total post count from April (when we exported the member database) and import it as your "point total" (not post count). It also seemed to multiply it by 10...so consider that a nice gift from us to you for your participation thus far! You will eventually be able to redeem your points for badges that you can display on your site as well as possible merchandise and ticket discounts...and maybe even partner discounts or products down the road. If you signed up here on the old forums after April 1st, 2008, you may not be able to use the link below to sign up, but you are still welcome to join by going to the main page and signing up from there.
4. Please remember that all rules still apply and that inappropriate language or content, or any other violations of the community guidelines can and will result in warnings and banning.
