When will the media stop making an excuse for them everytime they lose. Its always the same tune "They turn it off and on" excuses. Why does a "top tier" team that has been in the Eastern conference final 5 straight yeras take a playoff of game lightly especially when they know the stake??? I'm not buying into this run downed excuses anymore cause its wearing thin on me. The Pistons lost fair and square, its time somebody remind the media that.

Why is this about the Pistons whining and crying about how much your Pistons suck. Geeze, get over it. The Pistons are an old over-rated team thats is passed their prime. Take your whining elsewhere. No one cares. At least put it in NBA talk, not Cavs team talk.

The national media gets fooled every season into thinking that the Pistons are a dominant team. It is almost laughable. It is amazing the amount of respect one championship can get you. It has been 4 years since they did anything to prove this "dominance." There is NO way they are getting out of the East this year, or again until the roster is changed. Billups hasn't been clutch in 3 years, Wallace cries every time someone actually guards him, and Prince hasn't improved his game from about his second year. There is no reason to believe that they are all of a sudden going to be better than they were the previous season in the playoffs. I don't want to hear about their bench being better, because we all know that the bench won't play as much in the playoffs anyway. It is the usual nonsense, and I will laugh all day if Andre Miller and his young guys can knock them off.

Detroit makes the media believe they are this unbeatable team, and that arrogance and cockiness leads to their downfall every year because they just expect to win, and dont know how to deal with adversity.

Anybody catch Billups recent interview? He said game 2 is not a must win for them, it would be no problem to come back and win the series after being down 2-0.

Sounds like the same old arrogant, cocky, pompous pistons to me...

The 76ers are my 2nd favorite team, so I'm really hoping they can upset them. If the pistons continue with thier complacent attitude, it just might happen...

Every time The Pistons lose, they're like a horse with a broken leg: sometimes you have to just shoot it in the head.
Instead, the media just picks up and "goes with" the players excessive whining.

Why do you think the media consistently under-rates teams like the the Spurs and us every year? I think partly it's because guys like Duncan and Lebron can be so understated.

Why do the Lakers get blown out of proportion every year? I think it's partially because Kobe goes out and soaks up the the attention they bask him in.

It starts with the players.
